A few days ago the project presentations were scheduled in our class… but it was later postponed as the admin was out of town and we did not had the administrative rights to install NetBeans in the system…….as such the whole day was ruined !!
I came across 2 ways to break through the system … i share the same with you here:
Using the DOS prompt:
- Go to cmd prompt and type “net user” (without quotes).
- The output gives the username or the admin name !!
- Now type “net user admin name *” (without quotes ofcourse !!) .
- Press enter …..it asks for a new password -> give one !
- It asks for the same password to “confirm”. Do that and you are through !!
You need to have administrator rights for above !!
Changing the Registry Settings:
- Go to the registry editor by typing in “regedit” in the Run window.
- Now move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\Winlogon
- Here modify the “Auto Logon” string value to 1…..and it’s done.
You do not need to have administrator rights for the above!!
Restart your system….how it feels ??? huh !!
Word of Caution : Experiment this at your own RISK
